FEI’s Haya to propose ‘Day of the Horse’

FEI President Princess Haya is to accept a resolution proposing an international twenty-four hours of the Equus caballus to the United Nations General Assembly inwards September.
The resolution has the back upward of the FEI Bureau, which met inwards Lausanne, Switzerland, on Tuesday.
It is proposed that Dec xiii would mark an international twenty-four hours of the horse, in recognition of the importance of horses to the global economy, cultural heritage, too sport.
The adjacent United Nations General Assembly takes house on September 23 at United Nations Headquarters inwards New York.
Haya was designated every bit a United Nations Messenger of Peace inwards September 2007.
