Eventer Laura Collett gets ride on Kauto Star
British equestrian media is reporting that retired British steeplechaser Kauto Star is to live on retrained equally a dressage Equus caballus amongst eventer Laura Collett.
Horse & Country TV reported this calendar week that Olympic eventing motorcoach Yogi Breisner would oversee the retraining of Kauto Star – 1 of Britain’s close successful National Hunt horses – equally a dressage horse, amongst the ride going to Laura Collett, 23.
The Equus caballus is at her yard inwards Wiltshire.
Kauto Star, who was retired inwards November, is owned yesteryear Clive Smith. He boasted a Timeform rating of 191 at his best, making him the joint-third best chaser of all time.
The 12-year-old’s tape at Haydock Park was outstanding, amongst 4 victories inwards the Betfair Chase (2006, 2007, 2009 together with 2011). Ruby Walsh partnered him to 3 of those victories, amongst Sam Thomas taking the mountain inwards 2007.
Kauto Star, who was bred inwards France, besides won the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park on a tape v occasions (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2011), together with the Cheltenham Gold Cup twice (2007 & 2009).
