Top Australian jockey Damien Oliver has been stood down, next admissions he bet on a competitor horse.

Racing Victoria said stewards issued ii charges against Oliver afterward his admissions yesterday.

On the footing of those admissions as well as the subsequent charges,  Oliver has been stood downward from riding pending a hearing earlier a stewards’ panel side past times side Tuesday.

The admission as well as charges follow an investigation past times stewards into allegations that Oliver bet on favourite as well as race winner Miss Octopussy at Moonee Valley on  October 1, 2010, a race inwards which he finished 6th on second-favourite Europa Point.

Racing Victoria alleges that Oliver broke the rules inwards placing  a $A10,000 bet on Miss Octopussy to win the race at Moonee Valley.

It is farther alleged that Oliver had inwards his possession, as well as used, a mobile holler upward inwards the jockeys’ room prior to the race inwards question.
