Canada’s Lauren Barwick was named the leading overseas passenger at the Bishop Burton College CPEDI2* para-equestrian competition in East Yorkshire at the weekend.

Britain’s Natasha Adkinson was the leading home-based passenger at the event, which hosted to a greater extent than than 33 riders from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Great U.K. too New Zealand. The resultant is i of the final for riders earlier the upcoming 2012 Paralympic Games.

Canada’s squad of Barwick, Eleonore Elstone, Ashley Gowanlock too Jody Schloss achieved outstanding success, winning 7 of the 12 classes they entered.

Canada’s private gilded too argent medalist from the 2008 Paralympic Games, Barwick of Aldergrove, BC, rode Equine Canada’s Off to Paris to victories inwards all 3 of her Grade II classes. In the Team Test, Barwick too Off to Paris earned a grade of 76.75%.  For the Individual exam they received 78.81%, too they won their Freestyle amongst 76.67%. Barwick was too awarded the overall highest scoring competition of the competition.

Gowanlock of Surrey, BC, won the Grade IB Team exam riding Lauren Barwick’s 2008  Paralympic horse, Maile, amongst a grade of 71.97%.  The brace too hence went on to win the Individual exam amongst a grade of 71.23 too placed instant inwards the Freestyle amongst a grade of 70.08%.

In the Grade 1A Team Test, Schloss of Toronto, ON, riding her ain Inspector Rebus, earned a grade of 70.20%, inwards the Team test, followed past times a grade 72.00% inwards the Individual exam too a grade of 69.83% inwards the Freestyle test, finishing inwards instant identify inwards each class.

Riding Zareno, an eight-year-old Dutch Warmblood owned past times Franklin Posmus, Elstone of Langley, BC received a grade of 65.16% inwards the Grade IV Team test, finishing inwards 5th position, followed past times victories inwards both the Individual exam too the Freestyle exam amongst scores of 69.73% too 70.42% respectively.

The Canadian Paralympic Equestrian Team has been preparation at Bishop Burton College inwards East Yorkshire, Great U.K. equally usage of their preparation for the 2012 Paralympic Games.

Two New Zealand riders were at the event, amongst Anthea Gunner and Huntingdale Incognito finishing 8th overall inwards the Grade II competition, too Rachel Stock and Rimini Park Emmerich 3rd overall inwards Grade III.

The equestrian events of the Paralympic Games kickoff on August xxx amongst the Grade II too Ib Team tests.
