Aust recognition for NZ-born dressage coach
New Zealand dressage omnibus as well as approximate Carolyn Lieutenant was recognised inwards Australia’s Queen Birthday honours listing this year.
Lieutenant was awarded the Medal (OAM) inwards the full general department for service to equestrian sport, especially through coaching roles alongside the Australian Paralympic team. She was caput Coach of the Australian Para-Equestrian squad at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games where the squad won ii gilt as well as ii bronze medals.
Lieutenant bred the belatedly Victory Salute, who was most successful Australian-bred grand prix Equus caballus of all time, as well as also won a bronze medal with Georgia Bruce at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. Victory Salute was recently inducted into Equestrian Australia’s hall of fame.
