A Scottish adult woman is awaiting judgement afterwards admitting neglecting her Shetland pony, Smudge, who was euthanised on veterinarian advice.

Martha Balmain, 70, of  Thornton, Fife, pleaded guilty in Kirkcaldy Sheriff’s Court on Monday to causing her pony unnecessary suffering, next a Scottish SPCA investigation.
