Cowgirls from the University of Wyoming volition learn horsemanship to riders inwards Europe this summer.
The University of Wyoming’s new equine plan inwards the Department of Animal Science received an American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) International Horsemanship Grant to learn horsemanship in addition to equine scientific discipline classes to association members inwards Europe.
The university’s application was selected from amidst unopen to of the nation’s exceed equine scientific discipline programs.
“This is quite a feat,” says Amy McLean, extension equine specialist, adding that the plan was honored to stand upward for the association overseas.
McLean volition go to Europe amongst Lindsey Hankins, of Fort Collins, Colorado; Katelynn Ewing, of Sidney, Nebraska; Corinna Slingerland, of Lander, Wyoming; in addition to Lacey Teigen, of Laramie, Wyoming.

Ewing in addition to Teigen transferred to the academy from Laramie County Community College inwards Cheyenne, where they completed the two-year Equine Science Program.
Teigen interned for Steve Heckman, a renowned western pleasance trainer inwards Aubrey, Texas. Ewing is continuing her horse-training skills working for Mears Morgans, inwards Laramie.
